We all go through seasons of life where we feel alone, but sometimes our loneliness is no fault but our own.
You make decisions daily. These decisions can affect your mood and your relationships. One important decision you make is what to do when you feel overwhelmed. Do you go to other people and talk to them about what you’re feeling or to ask advice?
While God can surely use others to speak into your life, you must seek wise counsel and Godly advice. Anyone can give you their thoughts, but few will give you Godly wisdom.
You may be the type of person though who retreats alone when feeling overwhelmed or lost. There is nothing wrong with this either, but the point of retreating alone is not to dwell on your issues or worry about the outcomes.
When you go away alone it is necessary to seek God through prayer. Jesus Himself did this often like in Luke 5:16. He withdrew to lonely and isolated places and prayed—without distractions and His full focus on God.
When is the last time you went away alone and prayed? Allow God to speak to you and know He is always close to you.
