Blessings to you today and always. I only thought it was fitting today to highlight an Irish proverb.
Searching for the right one was a bit of a challenge because there are so many good ones and many that are biblical in nature. I chose this one because everyone has a story to tell.
Your life tells a story and just like any tale, it is important to not only remember it yourself but to share it with others. The Bible is an account of true stories handed down and read by people over thousands and thousands of years.
If the stories were not written, no one would know the history of God’s people, how we are to live in the present, and what is to come in the future.
Your past is important because it allows you to remember where you were in this life before you accepted Christ’s sacrifice for you and surrendered your life to Him.
Knowing that doing your life with God leads to your best life and the most blessings, you know where you’re headed in the future can only be as God intended.
You have been given free will though and so it’s inevitable that sometimes you will go too far with your own choices and decisions. You may find yourself off the path and wandering in the woods or the wilderness.
Just know you are never too far from God to hear Him call your name. Just like a mother yelling for her child when it’s time to come home, you will know His voice when you hear it— beckoning you to come home.
He is always in pursuit of you because He wants to be first in your heart and in your life. How does your story of where you’ve been and where you are now tell of God’s goodness that continues to lead you in the right direction?
