Enduring the Storms

It rained all day here in Arizona yesterday. If you’ve never been to Arizona, it doesn’t rain often.

Because it’s in the desert, when it does rain, the water pools quickly and takes a while to absorb into the ground so we have flash flood warnings sometimes.

Other places experience days and days of rain during major storms and the damage is significant.

When you’re in a storm, it can be difficult to keep your mind on the thought that it won’t last forever. The storm will pass. All you need to do is hang on and never lose hope.

Hope in these times is found in the one thing you can hold on to—something to live for.

It could be your family maybe, but ultimately keep your focus on God. He’s the only one who can help you endure the storm and pull you out the other side.

The flood waters, after the great flood, remained on the earth for 150 days! Noah trusted God would help them to get through.

While in the storm though, there was no way of knowing how long it would last. He just hung in there and held tight to God’s promise—they would live through it!

Whatever storm you’re enduring, it may last for a short time or seem to go on forever. No matter what, hold on to God’s promises and He will help you through it.

How can we pray for you today for the storms you are going through right now?
