Have you ever tried to use a potter’s wheel to create the perfect piece of pottery? It takes technique, practice, and a lot of patience.
I took a ceramics class in college as a needed elective and using that little wheel is harder than it looks. Starting with a lump of clay and molding it into something usable is quite remarkable.
You and I are just like a lump of clay that God has created into something beautiful. Sometimes things happen that crack, chip, or completely leave us in pieces.
Only He has the ability to make you whole again. All of the flaws will not be fixed, but they are a part of your journey.
You will not be the same as you once were after He puts you back together, but you’ll be stronger than you were before. He will seal the cracks and fill in the chips.
Remember what you once were, but focus on who He has made you to be. You have a specific purpose and the Potter doesn’t make mistakes—He’s into restoration.
How has God helped to make you whole again after the circumstances of life tried to keep you in pieces?
