You may not have had anyone say it to you lately, but you matter. Your life matters. What you’ve endured up to this point matters. It probably hasn’t been all sunshine and roses either.
There are some who don’t like to complain and for the most part keep things going on in their lives to themselves. Then there are others, you know you know someone, who tend to be a complete open book with everyone they meet—on and off social media.
God doesn’t want us to close ourselves off from others, but sometimes it’s best not to throw certain things out there for the whole world to see. In either case, I know you’ve gone through some things you’d rather forget and seasons that felt like they went on forever.
You had to experience your past because it made you the person you are today. God has given you a unique purpose. The call on your life from Him can seem the same as someone else, but it is tailored just for you.
Having His purpose become apparent in your life allows you to look back and see how He has been prepping you for years and developing the skills for you to do what He is asking of you. Nothing happens by accident because that would mean He makes mistakes.
God is the author of perfection and as such He sent His Son to be the perfecter of our faith. By His blood, you have received grace, mercy, unending love, and the opportunity to live in unshakable faith.
All of the tests in your life along with all the good times are a part of your testimony. If you’ve been through abuse, neglect, addiction, homelessness, starvation, disease, guilt, shame, depression, anxiety, and so many other ailments, these things can be used by God for good.
There is always someone around you going through something you have endured. Having experienced it yourself, God will then use your testimony to speak into their life. Your life isn’t just for you to live. It’s for you to share with others.
God loves us so much He sent His only Son to live and walk this earth for the purpose of enduring the life you and I would have to live. Then He died and took all your sins to the cross so that you would not have to die in your sin. He provided the option of life eternal with the Father.
All you have to do is accept His sacrifice and live a life that brings God glory instead of yourself. When you share your testimony with others, God will work through you to reach others for Him. You never know when one conversation with a friend or even a stranger will change their lives for all eternity. Let your life speak to how awesome and amazing God is.
Who around you do you need to share your testimony with?
