Sometimes we have the best intentions at the start, but our motivations take a turn. For example, you land the dream job you’ve always wanted! You are enjoying what you do and put your all into it. But your excited efforts turn into needing validation from others about how well you are performing in your work.
So you work harder and your time is consumed by your job. While your family is excited for your dream journey, when you use all your time and effort to work, it leaves little time for family. You need a job to be able to provide for your family, but there comes a time when you may need to choose to cut back your efforts to make a difference where it matters more—your relationship with God and your family.
In your life, God is commissioning you to go and tell people about Jesus. This happens by what you say and by what you do. Actions often speak louder than words. Not only is God watching, but others around you are too.
You and I will make mistakes. His isn’t a call of perfection but obedience. He wants to be your driving force and your why. Not everyone is called to ministry, but we all are called to tell others about Him.
Maybe writing or building things is how you are called to do this. No matter what it is, you can take your example from Jesus. He came before you and modeled what it means to do the will of God.
Just as He did for others and for you, you are supposed to do. He spent time with those He loved and those who needed Him. Jesus prayed for those with issues or who needed to have their lives changed.
All of these things you can do too because of His Spirit living inside of you. Who is in your sphere of influence? Are you using Christ as an example or patterning your ways after what the world says is right?
