Whenever you’re going on a trip or a journey, there are certain essentials you should pack. Toiletries, clothes, and maybe even a few snacks.
What about the essentials that you need for your spiritual journey? Our journey with Jesus is just that— more like a lifelong marathon and not a sprint.
If you are a Christ follower, it means you have accepted Christ as your Savior and the head of your life. This decision also means you have yielded you’re will for His.
In this life, you will have trouble. Even being a Christian does not exclude you from this. When these times of suffering and troubles come though, you are equipped with the best possible weapons per battle.
God has given you His Word, which is as powerful as a sword. He has also given you the opportunity to talk with him and get guidance whenever you want. This line of communication is open 24 hours a day seven days a week—even on holidays.
Prayer is in an essential on this journey because it allows you to talk to Him about your fears, the things you’re grateful for, and even the things you see around you that need to change.
Don’t forget each day as you continue your journey to bring these spiritual essentials with you. I assure you your life will be better, more fulfilling, and abundant in His goodness because you did.
