If you’re anything like me, you prefer natural light compared to artificial, luminescent bulbs. Sure both kinds of light can illuminate a room, but there is a big difference between them.
Artificial light lights the room, but the light is unauthentic and fake. This can be like some people who have a happy disposition, but their happiness is rooted in things and people who are subject to change.
Christ came into this world as a light for all to see. He came in a lowly stable and was placed in manger—the King of Kings! He could have come in the middle of a big city with trumpets blaring and a big show, but that’s not what He wanted. He came as a humble child because His birth was not just about Him. It was about you!
When your happiness is rooted in the love of Christ, His natural light radiates from you much brighter than any artificial light because once it is lit it may dim at times, but it will never go out.
The question is, are you living life radiating artificial light or the light of Christ who lives in you?
