When you think of a shepherd, you probably think of someone leading their sheep. However, shepherds were usually at the back of their flock. So how do they know where to go?
If the Lord is our shepherd, then how do we know which way to go? There is always someone helping us from the front who has been given direction from God.
Maybe it’s you! God has chosen many people to lead His flock as He guides us from behind.
It can be difficult for some to not be the one leading, but the flock is full of all different kinds of people. If you are a follower of Christ, you have been given the role of discipleship.
This is something all of God’s people have been commissioned to do. Jesus didn’t have His disciples to only make an impact on them.
He wanted to make an impact on their lives so that they would go and teach more disciples who would then keep it going.
So not only are we to go like God said, we are to teach. When God imparts knowledge to you, you can then share it with others.
He is much too good to keep to yourself! Be thankful for God in your life and know that you are loved.
