All five of your senses have a specific purpose. There are also some phrases I’m sure you’ve heard people say about each of them.
Maybe you’ve heard, “The eyes are the pathways to the soul” or perhaps, “The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.”
There is one concept though that definitely proves to be true. Your mouth will speak out of the abundance of your heart.
This means that whatever you let affect your heart affects your words and your attitude about everything.
If you find yourself being argumentative about every little thing, something bigger is affecting you. I find my fuse is shorter when I have a lot going on and maybe I feel anxious about a coming event.
It could be that because of a past hurt, you find it difficult to open up to people and allow them to see the real you. This heart defect can have an impact on you personally, but also on any relationships you try to have.
Whatever you have been or are going through has left scars and wounds on your heart that keep you from functioning at your full capacity.
But God wants more for you. He wants to heal your heart from your painful past and present problems. God is a God who heals and the reality is, He’s the only One who can help you.
Don’t let the condition of your heart keep you from living the abundant life God has planned for you.
