Many people are born each day. Some births are announced more gloriously than others, but all of them matter.
You matter to God and as a result He sent His Son to be born as a little baby to a couple who was no different than you and me. The night Jesus was born, he wasn’t the only one that came into the world, but His coming was foretold and so monumental that it would impact everyone for all time.
The poorest people wild wrap their babies in Bible times with scraps of cloth as it was all they had. So the fact that He was swaddled in pieces of cloth was not an extraordinary thing.
There were no other babies born that night though who were born in a stable and placed in a manger. It was not the ideal place for a birth or the typical place to lay a child.
But He was no ordinary child. God was reaching out and communicating to us through the birth of His Son. He wanted the coming of Christ to make us curious about and hungry for Him.
God gave you free will so you would hopefully choose Him to be your Lord and Savior, but He also did it so that you would seek Him and the true meaning of Christmas for your life.
The shepherds came from the fields to see that the birth of Jesus was true. God also wants you to come and see for yourself the truth about our Savior.
God came as a little baby in the middle of our ordinary, every day lives. Seek Him and come to the manger to see for yourself that Christ is born and has come to save you.
How does Christmas—Christ with us—impact you directly in your every day life?
