Where does your loyalty lie? What encourages you to be devoted to one cause or person more than another?
What you are devoted to shows what is steady and constant in your life. Being devoted doesn’t involve jumping on every bandwagon that rides your way.
True devotion is giving your all—your time, resources, energy, and your entire being—to see it succeed.
It is great for people to be there for one another and to help out whenever they can, but is their heart behind it? There are plenty of good people in the world. Being good though isn’t the same as being God’s hands and feet.
Works without faith doesn’t work and the same is true for faith without works. They go hand in hand. If you have committed your life to Christ, you are then to live with true devotion to Him.
You are to spread His love and message to all who will hear! When His love is working in and through you, you can’t help but to be fully faithful and loyal to Him.
So no matter what cause you support or person you encourage, do it all out of your love for Christ. Through your true devotion to Him, His unconditional devotion for you will shine through. You will be able to overcome the humanly impossible and defeat all that is against you.
