Have you ever given much thought to what gives you life? Sure we all have bones, organs, and blood to keep us functioning, but I mean what truly gives us life?
Your life is more than your flesh and bones. God knew you before you were born and He formed you in your mother’s womb. He knew you and loved you before you were formed into being and He will love you long after you pass from this earth.
Your earthly body is not what sustains you. His Spirit is what gives you life. When man was created, God breathed His own breath into him to make him live.
The words you read in the Bible are full of truth and are live-sustaining. It says in John 1 that in the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He is the Word and so when you read the Bible He is able to breathe new life into you.
So many go on quests to find themselves and the meaning of life. It’s such a popular topic you can find books, movies, and TV shows focused on the journeys some people take. The reality though? Nothing you will ever find in this world will satisfy you long-term.
All you need to do is turn to God and allow Him and His words to sustain you. There is life in His voice and eternal life in Him.
