Grace can be difficult to show toward others. When you live with grace and trust as key elements of your character it becomes natural to treat people as you would want to be treated.
Having grace toward others means you forgive them even when you don’t want to. Even if you’re upset by something they did or said, your actions are not out of anger and revenge but instead come from a place of love and truth.
God has done the same for you. When He sent His Son to die so that you could have eternal life, He was made complete. Through this act of ultimate sacrifice, His grace was given to you as a gift.
This wasn’t a gift you have to pay for or do anything to earn. His grace is simply His unmerited favor for you. It’s unmerited meaning nothing you could ever do or neglect to do could change the fact God delights in you.
Each day you pray to Him—choosing to trust and follow Him—He shows grace upon grace. His grace, mercy, and love will never run out.
