Ever think about what you’re leaving for the next generation? Sure you have family heirlooms and photos that have tangible meaning and feelings behind them.
Leaving a legacy is more than the things you leave behind. It’s about influence. Throughout your family, if stories stopped being told about the matriarchs and ancestors, no one would remember them over time.
This is the same way with Jesus. If His followers stopped speaking of His love, mercy, grace, and compassion, after awhile He would cease to be remembered and ultimately would have no influence.
As followers of The Way, we are meant to carry on the love of Jesus Christ to the world. We are meant to speak of God’s goodness and mercy.
His name is above all names and is the one to be remembered for all time—through each and every generation. But that means you are to keep Him as the name on the lips of those He has created—all humanity.
The God who created you and the entire universe showed God great love to us so you could always be passing Him along to the people of this world.
There is no other way to heaven except through Jesus Christ. What are you doing daily to make sure His name remains known, loved, and glorified among His people?
