There have and always will be things said about children. Some are good and some bad. When it’s about your own children, it can be easy to get defensive.
Sometimes kids will be kids. This is no excuse though for disrespect or harmful behavior. In the age of social media, kids bash and bully other kids.
Adults will even kid shame or throw shade at parents toward their children. I fully believe that more harm than good comes from posting for the world to see the pitfalls of a child or issues in parenting.
It’s easy to see the fault in someone else and harder to see it in ourselves. We try to train children up in the way they should go so when they are old enough to choose they won’t stray from God.
So instead of seeing all the bad around you, pray and ask God to help you see the good in people. Praise a child, encourage a struggling mother or father, and share God’s love with them.
Just as people remember bad things that are said about them, they also remember the good. Give people a reason to smile today. Whose day can you uplift today?
