It is my belief that you can learn a lot about the condition of a person’s heart by seeing how they worship when they are in church. Different denominations have different ways of doing things.
Some use hymnals and some churches use words projected on a screen. Some don't clap or raise their hands while others have worshipers leaping and dancing about.
It can be challenging for some to worship with their whole hearts because they are too afraid of what people would think if they raised their hands or closed their eyes while singing to the Lord.
The only way to authentically worship God is to open your heart up to Him in such a way that you are holding nothing back. Let the songs you sing be so personal that they become a conversation you have just between you and God.
When you engage in worship in this way you are all in and you will no longer worry about what other people think. Having a deep relationship with Him makes Him your best friend.
God seeks for us to truly and authentically worship Him in Spirit and with a truthful and open heart.
