Have you ever been asked to do something and the directions are so complicated that you want to give up before you even begin? Maybe this is why some people don’t want to even read the directions for fear of knowing how difficult it may be to get something done.
All kidding aside, there are times in life as Christ followers when He will guide you or ask you to do something. Many times in the Bible God asks His people to do things.
There may be multiple steps, but the whole of what He is asking isn’t complicated. Even when he asked Noah to build the ark, there were many steps, measurements, and materials he had to get right.
But even then the steps weren’t complicated. It is the same way with us. When somethings seems complicated and overwhelming most of the time we are just overthinking it.
Stress and being overwhelmed can happen so quick, but it mainly happens when you try to take what you can’t control into your own hands. If you live your life in faith relying on God, He will allow you to see the help and resources you need to accomplish the task already there for you to use.
Your responsibility as a follower of Christ is not to try to control things and make sure they are successful. The only thing we need to worry about is having an obedient heart that is always following after the things of God and doing what He asks.
Our obedient faithfulness and God’s follow through on what we can’t control will lead to Him being glorified and people coming back into right relationship with our heavenly Father. So just be obedient to the leading of Christ and let Him do the rest.
