Are you a list maker? Lists can be made for anything like weighing pros and cons for something or things that need to be completed.
When Noah, his family, and the animals disembarked the ark, God made a covenant with him that never again would He destroy the earth with flood waters. He even sealed the promise with a sign—the rainbow.
To this day when I see a rainbow after a storm, I remember God’s promise to us. Noah wanted to remember what God had done for him so he built an altar.
It would from then on be a visual reminder to him of what God had saved him from and brought him through. Even with God things are not always easy.
You can forget when going through really tough times what God has already brought you through, protected you from, and provided for you.
I encourage you to create a visual reminder of those times when He was there for you. Keep a journal, a thankful jar, or just an ongoing list.
