Ever heard someone say, “Life is good!” Maybe you’ve even said it yourself. Sometimes life is good, but in all reality life is tough.
Just like the marriage vows include “for better or for worse,” it’s the same with your life. You can’t understand what’s good if you don’t also have a little of the bad. They give context to one another because you couldn’t understand how blessed you are without also having times when you’re barely getting by.
Life is tough, but God is good. His goodness isn’t defined by or restricted to what He does for you. Instead, it’s about who He is. He is I Am. He is your Savior, Healer, Protector, Provider, Prince of Peace, and giver of unconditional love and joy—and so much more.
Love and praise Him for who He is no matter what is going on in your life. Sometimes this is harder than it should be. You get so hung up on your problems you forget to simply praise Him for who He is and for just being with you—knowing He is in control.
Christ came and lived, died, and rose again. He overcame life, death, hell, and the grave because He trusted God’s process and plan for Him. When you accept Christ, His Spirit then lives in you.
He works in you and through you to not only affect your life, but also the lives of those you touch. When you choose to praise Him because of who He is, He will work in and through you in a mighty way.
Because He lives in you, you are also an overcomer. Accepting Him assures you will have eternal life with Him in heaven. Everything you are and everything you do is for Him and His glory.
Love God and love others. Life may not always be good, but God is. Are you living your life based on your circumstances or on who God is?
