Scars and All

All of us have fallen and skinned our knees or maybe broken a bone. These kind of physical injuries are sure to leave a scar.

Some injuries though are less apparent to others because they leave scars that are more than physical wounds. Emotional and psychological pain can have even more of a lasting affect on who you are.

What you’ve been through, the negative and positive, have helped to shape you into who you are. Nothing about your life takes God by surprise and even the most horrible and hurtful circumstances He works for good.

A well-know, animated tow truck once said that his dents were part of his character. When faced with being able to remove the dents, he opted not too.

They were what had made him who he was and he remembered what had caused each and every one. Even though the memories weren’t always pleasant, they were part of his story.

Jesus has scars and wounds too. He endured insults throughout His life and physical, mental, and emotional pain as He went to the cross for you and for me.

He could have let all these things impact Him in a negative way. Instead, He viewed them as God showing Him how much He loved Him.

What kind of scars do you bear and how have they helped shape who you are?
