Is it possible to ever fully know everything there is to know about a person? I ask because so often people will say it isn’t possible that someone has done something since they know them to have integrity and they live by honesty.
The truth is, you cannot fully know what someone is capable of or what they are thinking because you cannot know their thoughts and motivations. The only one who knows everything about us is the One who made us.
God made you. He had a plan and purpose for you before He even formed you in your mother’s body. Only He knows your thoughts and the motives in your heart.
Just as He knows you on a deeper level, He longs for you to know Him. Amazing things happen through His power when you make the choice to join your life with His. There is no way you will ever know everything about God or about His Son, but reading His Word will give you the knowledge about who He is.
Spending time in His presence, walking with Him through each moment of your day, allows you to know His heart. Through both of these things you are able to form a complete picture of who He is. Facts give you knowledge about, but faith gives you understanding.
You need both to live the full life He has planned for you—your best life. Life is not a comparison game to see if you are living at the level of those around you. What’s most important is living the way He wants you to.
Learn from God on how to be gentle and humble. Christ modeled this for us. Some feel pressure to always please God, but He is easy to please. All He wants is for you to have a heart that longs for nothing more than to live for Him.
Many lessons will be learned in this life and no, you will never know everything about any one person. But God wants nothing more than to be with you and for you to rest in Him.
