Many of us buy plans of protection to insure if something breaks or a catastrophic event happens, you will be covered. But what is the protection plan for your soul?
Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection was the ultimate “policy” that reconciled you back to the Father forever. All you have to do to opt in is to accept His sacrifice and commit your life to Him.
Sometimes we put our confidence and trust in worldly things—seeking refuge in people instead of in Him. No matter how much confidence you have in someone, we all fall short and there will be times where we fail.
Committing your life to Him doesn’t mean nothing will ever go wrong in your life from that moment on. But unlike any other policy you could ever buy, He already paid the price for you. There is nothing you could ever do to earn His love and grace. They are free, unconditional gifts for you.
When life gets tough and you don’t know what to do, seek refuge in Him. He is the only one who can insure your protection. No matter what this life throws at you, if you seek Him as your shelter He will protect you.
Be careful who and what you put your confidence and trust in. The things of this world will fade away, but He will be around forever. Doesn’t it just make sense to put your faith and trust in someone who is, always has been, and always will be?
