Goals

We all make goals for ourselves. Sometimes they are short term, like a list to finish for the day, or maybe a resolution at the beginning of a new year.

It’s good to have goals. We are all goal driven in some way. But something happens with the focus of your goals when you choose Jesus.

When you make the choice to accept Christ the old you passes away and you become new through God’s mercy and grace and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

The other reality of this choice is you are putting the direction and control of your life in His hands. He already had big plans for you before you were even born!

A creator knows the purpose for his creations, therefore no one else but God knows exactly what great things you will do in your life to honor Him.

It takes great humility to lay down your dreams to ask God, “What would You like me to do?”

But let me tell you, when you do this, He uses you to do way more than you could have ever planned or dreamed.

Striving to attain a goal you have set for yourself is honorable, but allowing God to work through you with His power to achieve a higher purpose is absolutely the goal Christians should all be working for—to Him be the glory!

This mindset happens when you decide to live for more of Him and less of you. What’s keeping you from going after the purpose He has for your life?
