There are things you believe and believe in that even if they aren’t real, you are adamant they are. Like unicorns and mermaids. They are both awesome creatures, but unfortunately belong in stories of fantasy.
When it comes to believing in God, some believe Him to be real as well as His Son Jesus. Some do not think the two exist. I’m just going to point out that even Satan believes in them both.
There is a difference between believing and belonging. To believe in something or someone means you consider it to be real or true. Believing in Jesus lets people know you believe in the entity of Him.
To belong to Jesus means you are joined together with Him because you are dependent and reliant on Him. You show your devotion and loyalty to Him by how you live.
So when you make the choice to believe in Jesus, don’t stop there! Decide to live your life in such a way that through your devotion and dependency on Him you truly belong to Him.
It is in your belonging that He makes you into a new and better version of yourself. How has God made you a better version of yourself through your loyalty and reliance on Him?
