There are some basic necessities of life: food, clothing, and shelter. Everything else is a bonus blessing. Many at some point in their lives will have concern over one or all of these necessities and have struggles.
Whether you do this life with Jesus or not, you will face issues and troubles. We look to this world to have the things we need provided for us or to have the means to provide it for ourselves. The truth is that we can’t fully live apart from Christ and with Him you will have what you need.
Being told not to worry is easier than not worrying. In our human understanding it is our first response to worry. In Matthew 6, Jesus tells you not to worry about what you will eat.
He makes sure the birds eat and you are more valuable to Him than the birds. God has dressed flowers in the field with beauty and they bloom and are gone with time and the elements.
If He takes the time to clothe the fields, God will surely keep you clothed. Shelter is a place where you can be covered and protected when storms and others try to harm you.
When you seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, you will understand everything you need God will provide. When you take refuge in God by accepting Christ, He will protect you. The blood of Jesus was spilled for you and me.
His sacrifice means you have been atoned for. The price to be paid for the sins of all the word has all ready been paid in full. This is great news!
It means there is no condemnation for those who accept Christ because in doing so you believe He washed your sins as white as snow and wiped them from your name.
Your crimson stains from sin have been washed away by the blood of Jesus. What does it mean to you to know you’re no longer guilt and condemned to spiritual death?
