Sometimes our life goes in directions that don’t lead to good destinations. God gave us free will and so we will not always make the best choices.
What you want can claim your heart and cloud your thoughts so strongly that no matter what you should do, you do what you want instead.
As your Creator, He knows what’s best for you. He planned out great things for your life and wants nothing more than to see you live them out.
When you go your own way looking for things to make you feel fulfilled, you will always find things in this world but none of it will bring true fulfillment.
Money, power, success, and approval will bring temporary happiness. The way to long-term fulfillment that lasts? Choose to do life with Jesus!
Use your free will to freely choose Him as He willingly chose to die for you. He wants to be what you desire most and in return He wants to give you the desires of your heart.
If you choose not to acknowledge God in what you say and do, He will let you have your way—even if it means harm to you. But in the same way, He will help you to then see your need for a Savior and turn your eyes and heart back to Him.
Are you living trying to attain fulfillment by what you want or by what He wants for you?
