Surrender is a hard concept for so many because we want to have control—we need to have it. It’s interesting to note though you associate the act of surrender with letting go when in reality it can also be about receiving.
When we learn to surrender ourselves to God, His blessings will flow. He longs to have you open up to Him about everything—make Him your best friend. Surrendering something to Him feels like we are releasing it forever.
When it comes to bad things like hurts, hangups, and issues of the heart, you should let it all go to Him. No one else has the power to overcome these evils in your life. There are times though when what you have surrendered to Him in faith, He will return to you as a blessing.
When you give your dreams to God and allow Him to control your next steps, He will give it back to you in the form of a life fulfilled. Have you been living day in and day out just to get by? There is more! Surrender your hopes and dreams to God and watch what He can do.
He will give you peace, joy, and freedom that is even more than you could have dreamed of for your life. He takes your surrendered dreams and makes them increasingly more than you could have ever hoped or imagined.
This takes time and it’s hard to remain patient. Patience creates perseverance and perseverance endurance. Enjoy His blessings of patient perseverance and endurance.
