Do you remember going to your favorite place as a child? Maybe it was a restaurant with entertaining games, a relative’s house, or even a big amusement park. Have you gone back to that place since you’ve grown? Chances are, the details you remember aren’t the same seeing them as an adult.
Maybe wherever it is was better experienced as an adult and maybe seeing it all again made you wish you were a child. Whatever the case, things change. We live in a world full of constant change. Change can be good, but most people rarely like it.
We are creatures of habit. One thing though will always stay the same. Jesus never pretended to be someone He wasn’t. The Bible has stories of Him from long ago, but these stories also show us who He always will be. He is the same yesterday as He is today and it’s the same as He will be tomorrow.
How does this fact change the way you think about the Bible stories you read?
