Have you ever been lost? As a child, being separated from your mom at a store is frightening. As a parent, this is equally as frightening and maybe more so. Why? The difference is experience. We are innocent as children and don’t fully understand the dangers other than we are alone. Adults have grown up watching the news and hearing stories of children being abducted or worse. So the thought going through the parent’s head is not calm concern. They are searching everywhere for their lost child. Our Heavenly Father is the same way. He is always recklessly pursuing the lost and bringing them back to Him. Sometimes He finds us alone and sometimes He uses others to help us find our way back to Him. When we are found, being the loving Father He is, He wraps us in His arms, welcomes us home, and heals our wounded hearts and souls. How does it feel to know that no matter how far you wander, God is always searching to bring you back to Him?
