Every path in life starts with one decision. As you walk through life, you make decision after decision, leading you to different destinations. The choices you make determine your destiny. We all want to make the right choices and to win in life. The question is how we do it?
Many try to get through life on their own and their success as how far they have climbed up the ladder in their profession. Don’t get me wrong. It is great to work your way up to attain the highest office at the best company. But the truth is that in the end, this isn’t want your life is all about.
God wants us to press on in life and not give up, even when things get difficult, which they will from time to time. He doesn’t necessarily want to bless your plans for this life though. It’s true He wants to give you the desires of your heart, your hopes and dreams. But from the beginning, before you were even born on this earth, God had a purpose for each of us. He gave us each specific gifts and talents that would help with the purpose for which He had already given to us.
So, how do you win in life? First, decide to follow Jesus. No one else but the Son of the One who made you knows why you are specifically here. It’s important not to overlook this as fact. Second, part of following someone is learned to let them lead. Think of how follow the leader would play out if we all decided to be it! When we don’t make the decision to accept and follow Jesus, it’s just like playing follow the leader with everyone choosing to be the leader. To win in life you must learn to follow His lead.
