The famous last words of people throughout history have been recorded for all to remember. Christ is no different. He told His disciples as He ascended into heaven that they were now to go and make disciples—being witnesses for Him both near and far. This is what is known as the Great Commission and it is relevant for all of us today because all believers are disciples of Christ.
This last command should be our biggest priority. We are God’s Plan A to tell the world about Him, about Christ, and what it all means for our eternity. He didn’t have another plan.
Often when people are passing on they make a last request such as, “Take care of your sister for me.” This last request becomes our greatest mission.
Christ’s call in the form of the Great Commission should be our life’s mission. We need to be bold followers of Christ and tell everyone we meet about Him, our best friend who is always there for us.
What have you adopted as your highest priority, your life’s mission?
