Some of us are lucky to have 20/20 vision. If you do, count it as a blessing. If you don’t, you’re not alone.
Many struggle with vision issues whether from birth or multiple factors working against them over time. We live in the age of technology and there are more people requiring vision correction than ever.
Just like having issues with physical sight, you can have issues with spiritual vision, too.
Your character determines your spiritual vision. You should strive to remain pure of heart. Well, is that like keeping your heart innocent to certain things?
Purity and innocence are not exactly the same thing. Having a pure heart means having a heart that is spotless and stainless—not holding grudges, unforgiveness, or anger.
Innocence has to do with not even knowing about evil and anger do it doesn’t have the opportunity to affect you.
Having a pure heart means that in spite of things that have happened to you, you choose not to hold on to them because they can affect the condition of your heart.
Seeing as how most of us are not so innocent or ignorant to the fact of the evilness around us and the affect it has, how can you and I protect our hearts?
Some things in this world are acceptable to others but if we are followers of Christ, we must not even touch them. You must refuse to do such things or think such things that do not line up with God’s word.
Even if everyone else around you is doing it, it doesn’t make it right and it certainly won’t keep you pure in heart.
