What you choose to focus on will dictate how you think and what you do. What you think and do reflects your heart. Your heart drives all that you do.
If you choose to live with your eyes fixed on God, the focus of everything you do will be on the eternal benefit. The only way to know God is to spend time and focus on the things that He cares about.
There will be times when you are struggling and feeling weak. Only one thing can help you in these times. Jesus! Keep your focus on Him and He will renew the way you think and give you peace to know He’s got it all under control.
As Christ followers, we are like slaves to God because He is our master. He’s not focused on what we can do for Him, but on what we are focused on. When you choose to focus on Him as the one in charge, He will always make a way where this is no way that we can see.
If you don’t choose to focus on Him, what you do and think will become dependent on those around you. You will try to rationalize yourself against what others think and do.
It’s important to note that when you’re feeling drained and spiritually far from God, there is something that has come between you and Him. Pray and ask God to reveal to you what it is and help you to remove it.
