Why are we here? This is a question that has been asked for years. It’s easy to think we are here to have a happy life, maybe with good health and wealth.
The truth is, this life is hard and even accepting Christ will not change that. However, accepting Christ is a game changer. God sent Christ to die and be resurrected so you could be saved. Our sin should have taken away our option of eternal life in heaven with the Father, but Christ bore all of your sin and mine on the cross that day.
He saved you because He created you to be holy. Holiness is about purity. When you choose to be one with Christ, it’s important to think about the words you say, the thoughts you think, and the things you do.
Just think about if Jesus was standing next to you, would you choose to do what you are about to do? If the answer is no, you shouldn’t be doing it.
What you desire must be of less importance than God’s desire for you. This isn’t to say that what is of interest and importance to you isn’t important to God. You are important to God. You are loved by God.
When was there ever a time you chose to do something God honoring even if it went against what you wanted to do?
