Everyone knows someone who thrives on the praises and attention they receive from others.
It’s okay to accept the accolades you receive, but remember Who gave you the abilities and talents to do certain things well.
The trouble comes when your focus is on what you can get out of a situation instead of how attention can be brought back to God.
Be careful, especially right now, not to do kind and generous things and personally boast to others about them. It’s not about you!
You and I are supposed to go out and be the Church to those around us. When you choose to help out because that’s what Jesus would have done, it puts the attention on Him.
