It seems these days, more than ever, the pressure is mounting in our lives between what we want to do, what we should do, and what we have to do. There is so much pressure to be more than you are, but where does the pressure come from?
Sometimes issues around us change our routine or the way that we think and make decisions. The last six months have been anything short of normal. I know many do not like the term “new normal,” but things will never go back to exactly as they were and that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
Many of us live life overwhelmed. Being overwhelmed has to do with your thoughts and feelings. Taking on too much doesn’t help, but ultimately it all goes back to mental and emotional stress.
It’s easier said than done to give it to God and let it go, but this is the only way you can get through the thoughts and feeling that try to break you down and cripple your life. Christ came to earth as the Son of God and experienced all the things you and I will ever face so that He could go before you and overcome them.
When you go on a challenging hike or are traveling a path you’ve never taken, it is wise to take someone along to guide you who has experience. In difficult times, this person may be able to save you from certain peril and even save your life.
Choose Jesus as your guide and He will make your way straight and be with you in the mountains and the valleys. His sacrifice on the cross made a way for you to live your best life.
He has navigated through the treacherous parts of life and He knows the way. Whether you know it or believe it, He has delivered you from peril before and He will continue to do it again and again.
He is a good, good Father. Set your eyes on Him and place your hope in Him. When was a time that God brought you through something you didn’t think you could survive?
