Prayer Changes Things

Ever been a part of something that you knew was a game changer?

Each and every time you pray, you hold the ability to make changes to your life and the world around you.

It is important you make your needs known to God, but it is equally important you pray for those around you—even if you don’t know them.

You must trust and believe in faith that God is the one who can help in these uncertain times. Praying shows you trust God with what is going on in your life.

Prayer is our lifeline to Maker. He already knows what the outcome for the current chaos will be. Because you and I don’t, some have chosen to let panic take hold instead of peace.

I encourage you today and in the coming days to ask God how you can best be His hands and feet to those around you. We are an extension of Him and the answer to some of the prayers people are praying right this moment.

I recently talked to a friend who had a great perspective on all of this. She and her husband were surprised at the lack on the store shelves when they went for basic food after work.

Her immediate response was not panic and fear, but of “Okay God, how can I help.” She was going to go back to the same store the next morning and offer to wipe down the carts, pray with people, and provide any help that she saw was needed.

Many are panicking about what they will do with their children when there is no school but they have to work or what happens when we have to stay inside indefinitely—and all the other “side effects” the current situation brings.

Before you panic and everyone loses their minds, fix your eyes on Jesus and ask through prayer for His understanding. Nothing takes Him by surprise. Never stop praying!

I challenge you. Yes, all of this will affect you personally in some way, but what would happen if you looked at this situation differently? How can you be God’s hands and feet right now? How can you be a game changer in the name of Jesus to those in need?
