How many times have you said, “I promise” to someone? How many times have you keep that promise? We learn how to say this from the time we are little and playing with friends at the playground.
You really did mean you would keep that promise forever, but forever lasted two days. Now that you and I are older, we would like to say our word means everything.
The reality is though, you still don’t always keep your promises. Other people will always let you down, too, because we are all human and fall short.
There is only one who is perfect—Jesus Christ! He lived a perfect, sinless life, and sacrificed all He was and all He had for you.
God kept His promise to redeem your relationship with Him. He always keeps His promises and you can take Him at His word.
Within the Bible, He declares that He is your protector, provider, healer, your guide, and ultimately your biggest fan—among so many other things. He takes delight in you!
Knowing He is for you and not against you, a man of His word, are you living while holding on to His promises? Or have you lost hope that such a person exists?
