Have you ever moved to a new place for a new job? Or maybe, for a myriad of reasons, you had to leave someone you loved?
These leaps of faith are made because you are hopeful the outcome will be worth it.
When God guides you to do something, saying no isn’t an option. He has your best interest in mind and He created you with a plan for your life long before you were even born!
Jesus’ disciples all had jobs before He called them to follow Him. When He called out to them to follow Him, He gave them an even greater purpose to use their talents and skills for—to better His Kingdom. They left behind jobs and loved ones to take on His greater calling.
Taking His lead, even if it means leaving places or others behind, brings great reward. Of course the reward is not the reason for your obedience.
The reward is the blessings God graciously gives you for your faithful obedience to Him and His Kingdom. He gives His blessings in the form of provision, protection, and passionate, unconditional love.
God understands firsthand what it feels like to give up something you love. He willingly gave His only Son to die for you. Jesus willingly gave up His life to follow His Father’s plan.
