Sometimes you can be around someone so often, like a spouse or best friend, that you know what they are going to say before they say it.
This doesn’t make you all-knowing, but it does mean you know that person well.
God knows you. He knows your every thought, what you will do before you do it, and yes, even what you are going to say before you say it.
So why then do you need to pray if He already knows what’s on your heart and what you’re going through?
He loves to hear your voice. When everything else around you is in chaos, He wants you to choose Him as the calm to your storm.
Just like you ask a child to use his words and tell you what he wants, God wants you to do the same.
He is happy when you pray for Him to bless your food or protect your family for the day, but be open to telling Him everything.
