To be a follower means to imitate the one you are following. Are you a Christian?
Being a Christian means you’re following Christ in the hopes of becoming more like Him. Unfortunately, many who choose to follow Him don’t ever fully give over control of their life to Him.
When you’re a follower it isn’t about how often you go to church and do the right thing. These are important, but what matters most is the motives of your heart.
As Proverbs 27:19 says, your heart is reflected in how you live your life. How can you live a life that follows Christ if you’re directing your own steps?
The only way to get to heaven with your Heavenly Father is through belief and acceptance of and commit to His Son, Jesus.
One day all of us will have to stand in front of Jesus and He will look at the motives in your heart. He wants to see that you had His interests as your driving force and considered His will to be done—more so than your own.
So I ask an all important question: are you truly a follower of Christ and living your life to see His will be done?
