How many times have you gone to bed at night completely exhausted and decided to leave something undone saying, “I’ll do it tomorrow”? If you are like most people, you've done this often.
It could be something simple that won’t take long to complete or you could be putting off something that requires so much work you dread to begin. Whatever the case may be, it’s important to not put off until tomorrow what you can do today.
Procrastination can be high on our to-do list when the list is overwhelming. The Bible urges you to seek God to determine His path for your life. Then, you to-do list will be more manageable because you line up your priorities with God’s will.
Having a Kingdom focus is the key to living the life God intended for you. When you consider what to do in your day, don’t just focus on getting things done in the present, but think about how everything you do can make an eternal impact.
Going to the grocery store? Be open to opportunities to talk to others about how God has been awesome to you. Need to take the kids to school? Going to work? In everything you do there is a chance for you to make an impact for God. You don’t have to work for a religious organization or dedicate your whole life as a missionary, unless that is what God has led you to do.
Make a difference today right where you are in your everyday mundane routine. I guarantee that living this way will make every day anything but ordinary. Tomorrow isn’t promised to anyone and in light of the time you will spend in eternity, your life here on earth comes and goes a quick as the morning mist.
Even if you live 100 years, what you do in the short time will impact your eternity that lasts forever. Focus on making a difference in the lives of others and introduce whomever you come into contact with with the God of love and His Son Jesus. Life will never be the same for you or for them!
How can you make a difference today knowing that tomorrow is promised to no man?
